Qualifications

  • experience improving patient satisfaction, and driving compliance to HCAHPS, and Joint Commission
  • knowledge of patient care services in a healthcare setting;
  • SRC or call center experience;
  • in depth knowledge of quality control systems such as EPIC
  • a basic understanding of EVS and Housekeeping services;
  • experience with vendor and contract management, as well as union and contract negotiations;
  • the ability to analyze data, present and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization
  • experience effectively managing projects within agreed upon timelines;
  • strong financial acumen and budget management experience;
  • a high level of proficiency with computers and other technology;
  • strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently to drive program compliance
  • 3-5 years previous operations management experience in soft facility services, such as patient transport or Service Response Center experience in a hospital or healthcare environment
  • Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • These teams also have responsibility for driving client satisfaction by providing stellar customer service via effective communication with all levels of hospital staff, as well as follow-through with action items that impact both client and patient satisfaction
  • Manage a large team of 100+ union employees and a team of 4 supervisors to effectively maintain and inspect patient transport equipment, as well as related logistics, documentation and reporting;
  • Create a positive patient experience by setting the tone and culture of patient expectations and satisfaction
  • Respond to and/or managing calls through the Service Response Center;
  • Provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff;
  • Work with the Environment of Care Committee and Infection Prevention Director;
  • Effectively manage the Unit Operating System
