Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
- Requires 3 - 6+ years of experience in systems administration, DevOps, and/or software development
- Experience maintaining Ansible Automation Platform 2.4 or higher
- Experience writing Ansible playbooks, roles, and/or collections
- Proficiency in Linux or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, etc
- Experience supporting CI/CD processes utilizing tools like Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, etc
- Experience with scripting and development languages such Python, Bash, Go, etc
Responsibilities
- Primarily responsible for maintenance and support of our Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) with a secondary focus on our Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)
- This role is responsible for the maintenance and overall health of the platforms while providing support for user-onboarding, troubleshooting, and capacity planning/management
- Assist users with onboarding, writing, and executing code in Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)
- Build, maintain and scale Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), its underlying infrastructure, and associated containers
- Deploy and maintain tools for observability and application deployments to OCP (Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus, ADO, ArgoCD, etc.)
- Assists with the Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes and mentors teams to assist with improving processes
- Assists with defining and enforcing best practices for building and deploying applications to OCP
- Diagnoses, isolates, and debugs application problems and performs problem resolution
- takes part in capacity planning and performance monitoring of the platforms
- Provide platform support via a rotating on-call schedule
- Research and vet emerging technologies to assist with automation and process improvement
- Performs other duties as required
