Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
  • Requires 3 - 6+ years of experience in systems administration, DevOps, and/or software development
  • Experience maintaining Ansible Automation Platform 2.4 or higher
  • Experience writing Ansible playbooks, roles, and/or collections
  • Proficiency in Linux or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, etc
  • Experience supporting CI/CD processes utilizing tools like Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, etc
  • Experience with scripting and development languages such Python, Bash, Go, etc

Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for maintenance and support of our Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) with a secondary focus on our Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)
  • This role is responsible for the maintenance and overall health of the platforms while providing support for user-onboarding, troubleshooting, and capacity planning/management
  • Assist users with onboarding, writing, and executing code in Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)
  • Build, maintain and scale Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), its underlying infrastructure, and associated containers
  • Deploy and maintain tools for observability and application deployments to OCP (Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus, ADO, ArgoCD, etc.)
  • Assists with the Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes and mentors teams to assist with improving processes
  • Assists with defining and enforcing best practices for building and deploying applications to OCP
  • Diagnoses, isolates, and debugs application problems and performs problem resolution
  • takes part in capacity planning and performance monitoring of the platforms
  • Provide platform support via a rotating on-call schedule
  • Research and vet emerging technologies to assist with automation and process improvement
  • Performs other duties as required
