Qualifications

  • We are looking for an engineer with experience in automation, CI/CD, and cloud service workflows, excellent design skills, and a track record in building and delivering software systems to achieve this goal
  • Let’s talk about qualifications and experience: You are a team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills who seek continuous learning and improvement
  • You are a seasoned technologist with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and 5+ years of experience building and operating systems
  • You have 3+ years of experience building and operating applications in AWS and are very familiar with most AWS services and tools
  • You are skilled in object-oriented programming and proficient in scripting and automation using bash, PowerShell, or similar
  • You have experience setting up and running CI/CD pipelines in a continuous delivery environment and are familiar with deployment strategies and zero-downtime deployments
  • You have experience with Azure DevOps or Github
  • You have production experience provisioning environments with Terraform or a similar IaC tool
  • You are familiar with containerized workloads (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, etc.). You have hands-on experience with configuration management tools

Responsibilities

  • This position reports to the Director of Software Engineering and will work closely with the software engineering and hosting teams
  • As a DevOps Engineer at Brightree, you will be vital in multiple strategic projects involving our cloud infrastructure, automation, and developer tooling
  • You will contribute to projects, including cloud development and deployment, system upgrades, and rolling out new products and cloud services
  • Let’s talk about Responsibilities: Work closely with the software engineers and be responsible for owning and delivering change towards a DevOps mindset and culture
  • Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines to build, integrate, test, and deliver our applications
  • Build Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to support consistency and repeatability of our environments
  • Define and track metrics to measure the team’s maturity of the DevOps practices
  • Design and execute strategies for automating manual processes/tasks
  • Identify and implement the proper tooling to support the DevOps activities in alignment with ResMed’s guidelines and platform strategy
  • Define application deployment strategies and enable transferring deployment activities and responsibilities to the product team
  • Collaborate with the product team to address the system’s security, compliance, and disaster recovery concerns
  • Drive operational excellence and cost reduction activities
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to provide production support and system monitoring

  • Subject to the absolute discretion of the company, this role is eligible for an annual cash bonus payment based on company, business unit, and/or individual performance
