Responsibilities

  • Primary Duties: The Assistant Attorney General (AAG) will be responsible for handling investigations into alleged violations of the Massachusetts False Claims Act, including reviewing referrals/complaints; initiating and conducting complex investigations, including negotiating with opposing counsel, conducting witness interviews, taking depositions, and reviewing written discovery; participating in settlement negotiations; and making recommendations on how to proceed
  • The AAG will also be responsible for assessing, investigating, and litigating sealed whistleblower, or qui tam, actions, some of which are filed on behalf of multiple government entities, and all of which require collaboration with the whistleblower and their attorney

Benefits

  • Salary: $78,586 to $117,879 commensurate with JD year and experience
