(seriously, our own teammates' words) Dislike politics and red tape Are friendly, always willing to lend a helping hand Can make a path forward, even in ambiguous situations Are Humble, able to admit your failures (we're all human) Love to learn, self-taught in many areas Are willing to give and receive feedback because you care Are bored without a hard problem to solve Enjoy seeing your hard work make real impact, and controlling your own success Responsibilities Build integrations with third-party systems, work on GoodTime's customer facing APIs Build highly scalable, distributed systems efficiently using open source tools Work with languages, technologies, and platforms such as Typescript, Redis, Postgres, Heroku, AWS Skills and Experience BS or MS in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent experience in the space 7 years of experience in software development Solid experience with designing a REST API Experience building integrations with another system using APIs 2 years experience in either Javascript, Typescript, Node.js Experience with SQL databases You are comfortable learning new technologies and systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent time management skills Nice to Have Experience with integrating with Applicant Tracking Systems Experience in integrating with third-party systems such as Google Calendar, Office 365, Zoom, etc Familiarity with cloud providers such as AWS You have gone through a rapid growth in your company (from 10 to 100s of engineers) This is a fully remote position.
