Minimum 10 years experience with retailers, including Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, Costco, Target, Wayfair and Amazon - at the buyer/merchant level
Minimum 5 year eCommerce sales experience managing these accounts and/or owned D2C
Experience leading trade customer P&L’s
Strong presentation skills with trade customers, including all preparation activities for product line reviews and other opportunities
Understanding of eCommerce sales and marketing to include paid search and high-level Product Pages with A+ content
Track record of offering trade customers unique perspectives that lead to differentiated results
Strong two-way communication and listening skills
Comfortable discussing invoices/payments, margins and negotiations
Knowledge of accounting and financial practices, experience creating and managing budgets
Agile adaptation to support variety of trade opportunities, in a start-up environment
Comfortable leading and operating with ambiguity
Encourages calculated risk-taking, experimentation and learning
Deep understanding working with trade customer's business models
Strong relationship building skills needed to grow existing accounts and to sign and grow new business
E-commerce business management experience, including D2C, Amazon Seller or through trade customer’s online websites

Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Sales Director will be a key member of the executive team
Lead the sales launch of a new brand with a robust product launch schedule
Build clear and compelling sales strategies for B2B and B2C growth aligned with overall business objectives
Leverage agreements in-place with the major trade customers
Design and execute Kindred’s sales organization
Full participation in product development meetings
Lead the assigned account P&L's including profitability management, internal reporting, and retailer negotiations
Meet targets for profitable sales growth
Develop account/channel specific strategies and drive execution
Work with trade and internal marketing team to build robust launch and co-marketing plans
Partner with product team to provide input to portfolio roadmap and establish successful go-to-market product strategies and input to product line review offerings
Establish and maintain the relationship with all assigned eCommerce partners’ teams to collaboratively plan and influence decision-making
Clearly define trade customer requirements: packaging, order processing, fulfillment, and KPI’s
Hire and manage sales representatives and other support staff, as needed
Handle e-commerce budget/goal and expense planning, including forecast accuracy
Represent the organization in all major line reviews and on-going opportunities for placement
Participates in retailer quarterly review sessions and secure opportunities
Manage and complete day-to-day retailer requests and problem resolution
Maintain an understanding of the retailer's processes, strategies, marketing and KPI's to effectively collaborate with internal partners to drive profitable growth
Develop and maintain all aspects of sales enablement including CRM, account plans, pricing, sales analytics, selling agreements, merchandising, promotions, trade marketing and supply chain inputs
Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and standardize reporting structure
Navigate multiple channels while avoiding channel conflict
