Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field - Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in project environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and strategically
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in requirement elicitation and documentation techniques
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.)
- Knowledge of business process modeling tools and techniques
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) are advantageous but not mandatory
Responsibilities
- The Business Analyst will act as a key link between business stakeholders and technical teams, facilitating the successful delivery of projects that align with the organization's goals and objectives
- They will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, as well as facilitating communication between various stakeholders, including business users, project managers, developers, and testers
- The Business Analyst will contribute to the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects by ensuring that they align with business goals and objectives
- Requirements Elicitation and Analysis
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand their requirements, needs, and objectives
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to identify and document detailed business requirements
- Analyze and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and potential risks in requirements and propose solutions
- Create clear and comprehensive requirement documents, including business process diagrams, use cases, user stories, and data flow diagrams
- Develop detailed requirement specifications that can be easily understood by technical and non-technical team members
- Maintain thorough and organized documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- Communication and Collaboration :
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure effective communication and understanding
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA testers, and project managers, to ensure alignment with business objectives
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations to convey project status, requirements, and changes
- Monitor and manage changes to requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure that requirements traceability is maintained, linking business objectives to project deliverables
- Work closely with QA testers to validate that the developed solution meets the specified requirements
- Participate in testing efforts, including user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensure that defects are appropriately documented and resolved
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with business goals
- Provide insights and analysis to support decision-making related to system enhancements or new initiatives
- If applicable, conduct data analysis to uncover insights and trends that can inform business decisions
- Collaborate with data teams to define data requirements and ensure accurate data integration
