Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in product management and leadership roles
- Demonstrated success in ‘Data as a product/service’ product launches of multiple complex products and lifecycle management
- Agile methodology proficiency and strong project management skills
- Deep understanding of software development paradigms, including Object-oriented programming and relational database systems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with fluency in creating Technical and Business documents
Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will lead the productization efforts by bringing the best practices from the technology industry and applying them as they fit in the realm of life sciences
- The role fits within a data management and operations team
- The primary responsibility will be to usher in a transformative change by repositioning a collection of technology-focused datasets that are currently served as databases into a cohesive set of business and internal customers-focused data products that are served as services aligned seamlessly with business functions
- Also, evaluate based on infrastructure, scale, and futureproofing, drawing on a background with high performant Tech environments/organizations
- Deeply understand and translate user needs into data product features, informed by extensive internal/external research and user interaction
- Manage external agencies that may be employed to assist with studies and create readouts
- Data Product Conception
- In coordination with development and business teams, lead the conceptualization and launch of data assets as production-ready products for internal customers, applying proven experience from innovative technology companies with the entire lifecycle, including the user’s current setup and adoption, into consideration
- Develop and manage Product development roadmap considering business impact and resource availability
- Setup/Customer/Manage product documentation and lifecycle, applying agile methodologies and a metrics-driven approach
- Define KPIs and drive product success with measurable ROI
- Stakeholder Engagement and Team Leadership
- Engage with stakeholders across functions, drawing on solid communication skills and experience in multi-level interactions spanning users across business, analytics, technology, and executives
- Evangelize the vision and the Products within the portfolio
- Lead and coach cross-functional teams towards adoption while ensuring alignment with business goals
