Qualifications
- 2-3 years of Accounting or related Finance experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel skills (pivot tables, function logic and lookup/reference formulas and charts)
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong attention to details, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build relationships
- Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment and prioritize effectively, with consideration of broader team goals
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Complete P&L variance analysis and commentary for management review, identifying and analyzing trends
- Analyze and explain variances from original plan and rolling plan
- Prepare month-end financial package which is distributed and discussed with divisional accounting teams
- Prepare rolling plan and annual plan which is distributed to the divisional BP&A teams
- Partners with internal teams such as Cash Accounting, Treasury, Corporate and Divisional Financial Accounting Groups, Corporate and Divisional BP&A Groups, Lease Audit, Real Estate, Expenses Payable, Facilities, Store Operations, Workplace Services and Legal
- Collect and deposit the monthly rent from Subtenants
- Prepare operating and tax expense reconciliations (billbacks) for Subtenants as required by the lease agreements
- Ensure all transactions are accounted for in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Prepare journal entries and accruals to ensure accuracy of the General Ledger
- Prepare accurate and timely balance sheet account reconciliations (including variance resolution)
- Identify and implement opportunities for operational improvement and efficiencies
- Special projects and ad hoc tasks, as assigned
