Software Engineer

Qualifications
- 8 or more years overall software development experience with C, C++
- 2 years or more experience with C#, GUI implementations, and Python
- 8 or more years experience with embedded microprocessor software/firmware development and debug experience, ARM-based, DSP and mixed signal microcontroller embedded environments
- Experience with sensor data acquisition and processing, motor controls, temperature controls, bootloader design, networking, GUI, touchscreen, and device drivers required
- Experience with communication buses (such as I2C, SPI, RS232, 1-wire, etc.) and Ethernet and associated protocols
- Requires a motivated individual that can work with minimal supervision
- Full range of motion for wrist, hand, and finger dexterity
- Sitting, working at a computer for long periods of time
- Could include lifting up to 25 pounds and standing for long periods of time
- This position requires 100% on-site attendance
Responsibilities
- This role will provide software and firmware design, development, and validation of new medical devices and equipment
- Lead the technical aspects of software development on assigned projects
- Participate in the development and selection of system architectures and technologies
- Conceive and develop the software architecture
- Author software development plans, software requirements specifications, and software risk
- Design, code, and implement software for medical devices in conformance with software development and life-cycle processes under IEC 62304
- Generate software design history documentation
- Design and execute software testing as necessary to verify software design and performance
- Participate in software validation activities including code reviews and validation test documentation development
