Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years demonstrated previous experience with Corporate Tax Accounting at a large corporation or large public accounting firm
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to create presentations and present message effectively
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail is critical
- Intermediate level proficiency of MS office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- This position will report to our Manager, International tax accounting and will be responsible for preparation and/or review of foreign data collected and included in LMC’s federal income tax return, quarterly financial reports, tax payments, long range plan and tax provision
- Lead Tax Accountant will be a member of the team responsible for, but not limited to the following:
- Review ASC-740 data for certain branches and CFCs
- Prepare calculations related to E&P, dividends and cash distributions from foreign subsidiaries
- Prepare &/or review International tax forms (1118, 1120, 5471, 8621, 8865, 8858, 926, 8991 - 8993) required for e-filing that are included in LMC’s federal return
- Prepare Foreign Derived Intangible Income (FDII) &/or Global Intangible Low-taxed Income (GILTI)
- Prepare Foreign Tax Credit and related Expense Allocations
- Provide support for federal and/or international audit requests, research of tax issues, and in defending tax positions that are challenged by tax authorities
- Assist Tax Manager in any special tax projects such as information technology and certain business acquisitions and dispositions
- Assessment of Unrecognized Tax Positions
- Review SARBOX documentation and testing
- Provide guidance on maintenance of OWM workflow and other technology initiatives
- Other duties as assigned/necessary
- This position will require continuous oversight of significant projects within the department throughout the year and may require coordination with both internal and external resources
- The role will be a hybrid role with 1 day a week in the office to collaborate with others and connect with leaders across the organization
