Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 1-3 years relevant experience or an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
Most possess a full understanding of accounting principles
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
Responsibilities
Ensuring all PO’s and disbursements are properly approved and supported by required documentation
Processing all invoices through bill.com and routing for approval
Processing all credit card expense reports and uploading them to bill.com for payment
Monitoring the budget to identify potential overages
Preparing and sending tuition, fee, transportation an ancillary charge to parents; posting related receipts and monitoring accounts receivable aging
Assisting parents with the set-up of payments through Veracross
Process payroll and related benefits payments
Make Daily Bank Deposits
Working with the Advancement office on the posting of donations, monitoring pledges and preparing a pledge aging schedule
Bank Reconciliations
Petty Cash Custodian
Custodial Account Reconciliations
Special projects as assigned by the Controller and Chief Financial Office
Time Management Skills - Manages tasks and projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and promises
Conducts periodic reviews of progress and measures against goals
Assist with the development of broad policies for the office to ensure success
Communications Skills - Effectively communicates accounting, financial and service issues that are complex in nature
Maintains open communications channels with peers, administrators, and customers at the School
