Qualifications

  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
  • Including but not limited to an upcoming graduate of a technical degree or certification program from a Technical Boot Camp, Apprenticeship, Community College or 4-Year University, or Graduate degree program
  • Passionate about user-centered design principles, consistently placing user needs and experiences at the core of the design process to create intuitive and meaningful digital interfaces
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborating with individuals from diverse fields such as engineering, product, and more to achieve common design goals
  • Investigate challenges in screen-based products, develop sophisticated solutions, and refine designs based on feedback and user insights
  • Knowledge in low/high fidelity wireframing, rapid prototyping, storyboarding, illustration, and creating user flows, enabling the creation of cohesive and user-friendly digital interfaces and products
  • Foundational understanding and familiarity with front-end code (HTML/CSS), enabling effective communication with developers and implementation of design concepts

Responsibilities

  • UX/UI Design Internship, Summer 2024 (May - August), full-time work schedule, Monday- Friday 40 hours per week
  • As a UX intern at Meraki, you will design interactions and components
  • Collaborating with other designers, researchers, and partners in product management and engineering, you will collect data and conduct research to understand users' goals, and you will explore and iterate on solutions

  • Collaborate with partners in product management and engineering to help identify and define problem to solve, and explore solutions
  • Communicate the user experience at various stages of the software design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, and/or high fidelity prototypes
  • Solicit feedback from designers, researchers, and other collaborators
  • Iterate based on insights from user research, analytics, peer feedback, and other data

  • For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%
  • Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation
  • For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target
  • Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid
