Responsibilities

  • The Key Account Manager will be challenged to build strategic and tactical sales direction, through the development of communications strategies to defend existing business, improve profitability of existing business, and to profitably expand business portfolio
  • This role will leverage cross functional groups to implement strategic direction, working collaboratively to build market research outlooks, competitive intelligence, product positioning, business continuity, value leadership, product line evolution and product innovation plans
  • This role is focused on growth of assigned account through increasing existing share of wallet, developing robust growth pipeline, leading innovation focused on migration into sustainability solutions and margin improvement
  • Travel: ~35%+ of time between account offices, plants, co-packers, Amcor sites and association events
  • Individual contributor role, leveraging leadership among cross functional teams to deliver results
  • collaboration, accountability, results & out performance into all aspects of role
  • Create and execute account strategy to maintain share of wallet and profitability grow account
  • Manage account complexities to support customer requirements and anticipate future needs
  • Build highly collaborative relationships based on trust and respect between Amcor and Global Key Account
  • Develop relationship enrichment opportunities between senior leadership, procurement, sales management, research and development, quality, operations, marketing, sustainability, and other crucial support teams
  • Responsible for the management of account planning, monthly forecasting, pipeline management, profitability improvements, and churn management in CRM tool
  • Orchestrate and lead key business negotiations, supporting Amcor’s interests demonstrating an ability to influence decision and actions
  • Report and communicate current performance achievements in terms of sales and margin contribution to the business unit for monthly management reporting
  • Drive forecast accuracy for improved business results
  • Ensure Amcor and Global Key Account adhere to contractual commitments
  • This includes inventory management, development and execution of value leadership strategies, and ownership of quality and service key performance indicators
  • Manages accounts receivables to acceptable levels with assistance from the credit department
  • Lead innovation through the coordination of R&D, marketing, and field service from concept to commercialization
  • Possess a detailed knowledge of Amcor, our products, the industry, and competitive market, enabling the business to solidify itself as an industry leader and fulfill Amcor’s Winning Aspiration to be the leading global packaging company
  • Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities, promoting an environment where each employee makes safety their first priority
