Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Accident and Health Insurance, Claims, Risk Management, and HIPAA
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney
- Strong knowledge of Accident and Health Insurance, Claims, Risk Management, and HIPAA
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Willingness to keep abreast of new laws and regulations that may affect the company's operations
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of issues related to Accident and Health Insurance
- Manage and resolve claims, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential legal issues
- Ensure the company's compliance with HIPAA and other relevant healthcare laws and regulations
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents
- Represent the company in legal proceedings, if necessary
- Collaborate with other departments to identify potential legal issues and develop appropriate solutions
- Stay updated with the latest developments in the fields of Accident and Health Insurance, Claims, Risk Management, and HIPAA
- Provide training to other employees on legal matters related to their job functions
