Qualifications

  • Experience developing ideal org structure to support overall business growth strategy, including creating a regionalized organization
  • 7-10 years of experience in a B2B, route-based business
  • Minimum five years in a sales operations, business planning, or sales support management role
  • Experience successfully managing analytically rigorous corporate initiatives
  • Solid sales and/or business development experience with a demonstrable track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals with deep sales management experience in a business-to-business sales environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build and implement and sales strategy and programs
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to build relationships at multiple levels and to work cross-organizationally towards solutions
  • Strong sense of urgency, with the drive and knowledge to navigate cross-business relationships Experience using Salesforce
  • Position will require approximately 25-30% travel

Responsibilities

  • Vice President of Sales Position Overview Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Vice President of Sales directs the sales force effectiveness and manages functions essential to sales force productivity
  • These include planning, reporting, quota setting and management, sales compensation design and administration, sales process optimization and sales training
  • Vice President of Sales Job Responsibilities Designs, implements, and manages sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes
  • Establishes high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in planning, forecasting, and budgeting approaches used by the sales organization
  • Designs sales incentive compensation programs that provide market-competitive pay
  • Creates the optimal organizational structure and deployment of sales personnel
  • Provides leadership to the sales organization, and counsel to the Executive Vice President, Client Experience, in implementing sales organization objectives that appropriately reflect the organization's business goals
  • Partners with senior sales leadership to identify opportunities for sales process improvement
  • Facilitates successful implementation of new programs through the sales organization by ensuring a well-defined, efficient sales process is in place for launch
  • Fosters an organization of continuous process improvement
  • Makes recommendations for changing sales roles, coverage models, or team configurations in order to maximize sales productivity
  • Leads a change management process to build organizational understanding of proposed changes, establish support from key leadership stakeholders, and effectively implement new deployment and job models
  • Works closely with senior sales leadership to define the optimal performance measurements and performance management programs required to ensure sales organization success
  • Ensures sales reports and other internal intelligence is provided to the sales organization
  • Establishes a sales force training plan focused on developing and reinforcing critical sales competencies
  • Supports Senior Leaders with high-level customer meetings
