Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- Strong understanding of tax regulations, compliance, and reporting requirements
- 5+ years experience as a Business Systems Analyst
- Strong working experience with tax systems & tools
- Avalara) is a must
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance
- Ability to work independently and with a team
Responsibilities
- In this role, you will play a critical part in enhancing our tax systems and optimizing financial processes
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain tax-related systems, identify new tax use cases for process automation & efficiency , and driving efficiency and accuracy in our tax processes
- This role will work closely with multiple teams
- Tax System Optimization: Assess, analyze, and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Snowflake's tax systems and processes
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements for the various tax teams at Snowflake and lead initiatives to drive efficiency and accuracy
- Systems Integration: Collaborate with integration engineers to integrate tax systems with other financial and data management systems
- Documentation:Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of tax systems, processes, and compliance requirements
- Vendor Management: Work with external tax software vendors to optimize their products for Snowflake's needs
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner cross functionally with various teams to deliver automation for the tax teams
- Snow on Snow: Identify and help drive implementation of new tax use cases using Snowflake’s own proprietary technology
Benefits
- The estimated base salary range for this role is $141,000 - $196,350
- Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan
- The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location
