Bachelor's degree from accredited institution required
3-5 years' experience in a related business development role, preferably in a healthcare setting
Proficient in MS Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.) and publishing software; familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within Marketing and Advertising; Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with emphasis on superior persuasive writing, presentation, and interviewing ability; Excellent verbal and written skills
Responsibilities
The Business Development Representative oversees community and professional outreach activities and focuses on developing strategies and programs that positively influence the perceptions of key customers (i.e., physicians, patients, family members, community members, payors)
The Business Development Representative meets the expectations of a professional employee; coordinates and implements business development and marketing activities with responsibilities that support the success and goal achievement of the organization; serves as an ambassador for the organization to increase qualified business from targeted referral sources in designated market areas; executes appropriate messaging to effectively position the organization in the marketplace, by identifying and reporting unmet needs and operational enhancement opportunities; organizes the development and acquisition of marketing resource materials; gathers, prepares and presents statistics on business development; and possesses excellent presentation, customer service and relational skills
This role may require significant amounts of time and travel in the designated market area(s) and may require occasional evening and weekend work as needed
