PRIME AE Group, Inc. ( www.primeeng.com ), a multi-faceted and rapidly growing A/E firm with 20 office locations in ten states and over 475 employees throughout the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Northeast, is seeking aSenior Accountant & Tax Compliance Specialist. This position can be remote, hybrid, or housed in one of our offices.

Position Overview:

The primary focus of this role will be monthly closing, financial statements, along with supporting various audit requirements and tax compliance mandates. This role will work closely with the external auditors to ensure seamless and consistent compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

Prepares monthly closing entries and monthly reporting income statements, balance sheets and statements of cashflow.
Prepares monthly financial packages for bankers and quarterly covenants submission.
Handles month end balance sheet account reconciliations.
Handles indirect expense reviews and updates overhead statements.
Coordinates interim bank audits, annual external financial audits, and annual FAR overhead audits.
Provides information for Federal and State tax filing to external tax consultants.
Coordinate JV tax return filing.
Responsible for property tax filings.
Quarterly commercial activity tax filing for Ohio.
Handle responses to tax notices by coordinating with external tax accounting firm.
Handles biweekly adjusted salary job cost and payroll control account reconciliations and quarterly 941 reconciliations.
Handles D&B profile updates with recent financial statements and addresses and resolves any issues with indicators on D&B report.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field of study in Business.
CPA Preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience in general ledger.
Strong knowledge of GAAP.
Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
Attention to detail.
Advanced MS Excel user.
Deltek Vantagepoint/Vision experience preferred.
A&E industry experience preferred.
Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) preferred.
