We are currently seeking aSenior Staff Accountantbased out of our Salisbury, NC plant and will report to the Controller of our Clean Solutions and FleetCare business units (based in California).

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

General Ledger, Regulatory and Financial Reporting and Analysis

Prepare and record various journal entries including accruals, reclasses, and other month end activity.
Perform balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations to include sub-ledger to general ledger reconciliations.
Perform monthly intercompany reconciliation to ensure all transactions have been accurately recorded.
Review fixed assets and capital expenditure projects to ensure all transactions are recorded timely and accurately.
Actively participate in financial audits and pull requests timely and accurately.
PPV variance analysis, manage open items in Goods Received Not Invoiced and AP_AR eliminations.
Assist in preparation of departmental P&L reports and presentations reviewed by senior management team.
Ensure proper application of sales/use tax to customer and supplier invoices; ensure the timely filing and payment of sales and use taxes to various jurisdictions.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting
At least 2- 5 years related experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Strong business acumen and communication skills required.
Power user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Strong time management skills with the ability to balance multiple jobs and adapt to a rapidly changing work environment with fluctuating priorities and tight deadlines.

Ability to analyze/interpret data and take appropriate action.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.
