Responsibilities

Overall responsibilities and duties:

Integrated within the Sales Organization of given Customer Business Unit (CBU), the Sales Manager is responsible for the Sales development for a specific Account or part of this Account (Program, Serial Life, Acquisitions), within the NAO Division / Region.

Role

The main missions of the role are:

Develop in depth intimacy with customer contact (Purchasing, Engineering Programs):
Interfaces with the customer at 1 st management level
Develops relationship with direct counterparts at the customer and with assigned contacts by the sales network
Participate regularly to a customer meeting (progress reviews, quality reviews, commercial global meetings)
Monitor competition
Prepare and check/validate the commercials offers to answer on due time to the customer requests
Get a good understanding of costing files
Build up and get validated the targeted pricing and the negotiation path/topics to convince the customer
Serial Life Management
Responsible for on time/on-profit customer ECR’s (Engineering Changes Requests) negotiation
Detailed understanding of piece price, tooling, and D&D impact
Following the Variable Cost Margin of the products
Coordinate or take direct charge of commercial productivity proposals with detailed understanding of Squeeze management
Understanding of VA-VE commercial mechanisms
Deep understanding and commercial management of local economies (inflation, exchange rate)
Oversees commercial management for Spare Parts
Overseeing Programs from Sales perspective
Negotiates and supports negotiation of ECRs and claims
Follow the profitability of the program
Understanding the business plan & RFQA process and system
Preparations and update/ improvement of the commercial offers through negotiation loops

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Minimum education level: Business master’s degree or Engineering Degree with willingness to develop a career path in business.

Experience

Minimum 10 years of professional experience with successful track record with different commercial assignments
Established personal relationship with one or two OEMs with the relevant markets

Skills & Competencies

Action-oriented person with strong organizational skills
Knowledge of automotive sales environment preferred
Mechanical aptitude, strong organizational skills, strong communicator, action oriented
Strong negotiation skills with proven track record of success on various commercial assignments exhibiting good judgment
Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management
