Position Title: Financial Analyst

Reports to: Plant Controller

Location: Holland, MI

We have an exciting opportunity as a Financial Analyst in our Holland, MI location. This position will be responsible for financial planning, analysis and reporting for Motus business units and consolidated company on a monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc basis. Will provide analysis, reporting support and contribute to special presentations as needed. Work cross-functionally to drive processes and communicate results. Help drive initiatives within the broader function/business.

Responsibilities

Provide monthly analysis and written commentary of operating results vs. plan, forecast and prior periods
Manage multiple aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting process
Coordinate, develop and review short-range financial forecasts and plans to achieve financial targets
Track and analyze plant expenses vs budget and forecast
Prepare and present financial results on a monthly basis including backup support and key talking points
Be a key contributor to the development and implementation of the annual operating plan and quarterly forecast processes including review and analysis
Respond to ad-hoc requests for customized data and reports in a knowledgeable and flexible manner
Drive financial modeling improvements in the planning and forecasting models to enhance process efficiency, support new initiatives
Key contributor to the annual financial audit process including investigation and preparation of audit responses
Participate in cross-functional process improvement teams to promote operational efficiencies and report results to senior leadership
Analysis of Capital Appropriation Requests, capital expenditure tracking and process validation
Other special projects and ad-hoc requests assigned by the Plant Controller

Requirements

Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other related discipline
CPA, CMA, MBA or equivalent is preferred
Excellent analytical skills with the personality to independently challenge and drive results
2+ years progressive operational finance experience
Excellent modeling skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint user
High energy, well organized and process driven with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
Strong interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills. Must have ability to coordinate and cooperate across time zones and cultures
