About the Position

The Graphic Designer II is an integral part of the creative design team and works closely with creative directors and copywriters to develop engaging concepts across a variety of mediums, including print, digital and interactive, that create powerful connections with clients, appropriately reflect the Company’s brand and are compliant with guidelines and regulations. The individual drives creative excellence across all brand presentations, marketing collateral, marketing activations and events.

What You’ll Do

1. Collaborate with creative partners to develop clear and compelling concepts, based on a deep understanding of products, services and target audience, to deliver on business objectives; develop and execute strong and compelling creative designs, driven by strategy, for various mediums, including social, print, digital, video, and email communications.

2. Participate actively in brainstorming sessions to drive development of powerful conceptual solutions; develop and present creative ideas based on input from creative and marketing teams.

3. Consistently apply brand and style guidelines; ensure compliance with all internal policies and federal/state/local regulations regarding marketing materials.

4. Manage multiple projects and adhere to established schedules, ensuring quality standards are met; adhere to production requirements while working with outside vendors; organize and maintain library of key art, logos and content updates.

5. Partner successfully with key stakeholders across multiple business lines to understand products and services and translate business objectives into effective and compelling creative design.

6. Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree in Design or in a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience where one (1) year of relevant experience can replace every one (1) year of post-secondary education

Three (3) years of experience in graphic design preferably in an agency or in-house setting

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Has a portfolio that demonstrates experience in display advertising, social, email and video creative

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Experience in selling creative and active involvement in client pitches

Exceptional conceptual and strategic thinker

Exceptional design aesthetics with type, color and page layout design

Ability to build positive long-standing relationships with clients and creative peers

Strong communication and presentation skills

Business acumen. Someone who will quickly pick up on how our business works.

Must be motivated, flexible, detail-oriented, and collaborative with strong organizational skills

Must possess an understanding of the technical constraints of print and web (browsers & devices).

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Experience in file preparation and procedures for print and digital

Understanding of UX and responsive design

Prioritization skills to know when to obsess and when to move on

Pay Range

The annual pay range for this position is $54,400 (minimum), $81,200 (midpoint), and $108,000 (maximum).*

Typical hiring range is between the minimum and midpoint of the above pay range. Actual starting base pay may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, location and budget.
