Description

Milliman's Seattle Health Practice provides consulting services to clients in the healthcare industry including health plans, government payers, providers, and reinsurers. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Project Manager to support healthcare-related projects we perform on our clients’ behalf. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with various projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are delivered within budget, on schedule, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. About Our Practice

Milliman’s Seattle Health Practice serves a wide variety of organizations, including insurance companies, health plans, state and federal agencies, healthcare providers, reinsurance companies, and employers. The staff consists of 150+ actuarial professionals in addition to healthcare consultants, IT, Administrative, and other non-actuarial staff.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Plan and coordinate projects from start to finish, including developing project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Identify, mitigate, and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Communicate with stakeholders regularly to keep them informed of project progress, changes, and issues.
Ensure that project goals and objectives are clearly defined and aligned with business objectives.
Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, to ensure project delivery.
Ensure that all project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and project deliverables, are completed and maintained.
Facilitate project meetings, including preparing agendas, leading discussions, and documenting meeting outcomes.
Ensure that all project activities comply with company policies, procedures, and standards.
Evaluate project outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following qualifications:

Professional Qualifications

2+ years of experience as a project manager, or similar type of role

Proven experience handling multiple complex projects at a time, tracking details of an individual project within a larger project portfolio

Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism

Personal Qualifications

Willingness and aptitude for detail work
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), must be able to communicate effectively with Senior Leaders and clients

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree Business Healthcare Management/Administration, and/or Project Management or related field
Experience in the healthcare industry
MS Project
PMP Certification or willingness to obtain PMP Certification

Location

This a hybrid position. Employees are expected to work in the Seattle, WA office 3 days per week and may work remotely for the remaining portion of the week.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $64,000 - $102,000 depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc. Employees are also eligible for a bonus under our standard bonus policy. Paid bonus is dependent on billable hours worked by and work managed by the employee. Actual bonuses vary widely based on desired and completed workload, but routinely exceed 30% of base salary.
