Center for Energy and Environment (CEE) is seeking to hire a Program Implementation Manager to oversee the implementation and delivery of programs/pilots we deliver in Illinois. This person will join the Program Development Team at CEE and be highly organized, self-directed, and proactive in their approach to work. The program implementation manager needs to be agile and goal-oriented as they assist with the development, launch, and implementation of new energy efficiency programs at CEE. As a member of the program development team, the program implementation Manager will also support new business development opportunities in the state.

The ideal candidate will have a technical background, superior people skills, and the ability to complete data analysis and write reports. They will have a team-oriented approach and be willing to help with tasks across the team and take on higher responsibilities when needed. Responsibilities

Program Management - (75% of time)

Play an integral part in the launch of new energy efficiency programs, including managing program development and various operational post-launch activities.
Communicate technical details and concepts in an easily understood manner to a variety of audiences.
Lead stakeholder engagement and communication by drafting written communications, crafting program reports, and coordinating meetings.
Develop presentations, program resources, and training materials.
Present program information and updates to key stakeholders.
Track program activities and impacts to measure against key performance indicators; develop recommendations on program improvements.
Collect and analyze program data and summarize res
Lead development of quarterly and annual report
Conduct research and contribute to program strategy development.
Lead program planning, budgeting, invoicing, and general program management.
Other duties as assigned.
Provide oversight and direction for the local support team including program partners and CEE team on the ground.

Business Development & Outreach – (25% of time)

With the support of the Program Development team, develop a program development and outreach strategy to increase CEE’s presence in Illinois.
Develop relationships with current and potential new clients to understand business opportunities that match CEE’s capabilities and strategic interests in the electrification/ decarbonization space
Assist in developing and writing proposals for new work (including responding to Requests for Proposals from potential clients)

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in a relevant field required

3-5 years experience with energy, sustainability, and/or building efficiency is strongly preferred
2 years experience in a program management or similar role in energy efficiency program implementation
Demonstrated ability and desire to learn and understand technical details
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams on a variety of tasks
Exceptional organization and time management skills and the ability to prioritize
Exceptional competency with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and online collaboration software such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams

Working Conditions

This position is based in Illinois (Chicago metropolitan area preferred) but will be fully remote
Ability to work in a fast-paced, outcome-driven environment with responsibilities to meet deadlines and program goals
Travel to participating cities for work-related meetings and tasks, as well as to Minneapolis to meet with CEE colleagues

Compensation

Depending on qualification and experience, the salary range for this position could be from $75-$80k/year.
