As Lifecycle Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for owning the full customer journey across marketing channels to drive lifetime value. The ideal candidate for this role has both analytical and creative chops and leverages both for the optimal customer experience.

A Day in The Life of Our Lifecycle Marketing Manager:

Duties and Responsibilities:

CAMPAIGN PLANNING & COORDINATION

Maintain an in-depth understanding of the brand’s customers, and leverage data and creative insights to develop campaign concepts to be executed across all owned channels
Leverage Content Creators and Influencers to curate content needs for campaign development
Develop and manage content calendar to ensure on-time deployment of all campaigns across (but not limited to) Email, SMS, Push, Direct Mail, Web, and App.
Visual Gatekeeper - Alongside our Creative Director, and Brand Marketing Manager, serve as a gatekeeper of our brand’s visual aesthetic to ensure all content creative is aligned with our brand's identity and standards.
Copy Expert- serves as primary approver for all copywriting for owned media campaigns to ensure copy is both on tone and optimized for conversion.

EMAIL, SMS, & PUSH PLANNING & COORDINATION

Coordinate email development with email agency: share briefs & contents, provide feedback, validate schedules and emails and set deadlines
Analyze insights on drip/automations and deploy optimizations to improve results
Leverage campaign and flow data/performance to propose additional opportunities to drive revenue and LTV

Engage in periodic testing to ensure channel performance is fully optimized
Make strategic recommendations for segmentation and own the execution of SMS campaigns while collaborating with Email agency and CMO on omnichannel optimizations/improvements
Manage content distribution and push notifications across mobile app to drive performance and engagement

CUSTOMER INSIGHTS/LIFE CYCLE

Engage in continuous analysis of various customer segments and cohorts to identify opportunities to increase RFM/LTV
Study full-funnel to understand customer behavior based on where they came from to draw insights that inform retention strategies
Study behavior of new vs. existing customers to draw strategic conclusions on how to better serve both
Engage in A/B Testing across all customer touchpoints to ensure the most optimal campaigns are running

RETENTION, LOYALTY & REFERRAL

Leverage software to better engage customers post-conversion to boost retention and LTV
Serve as category expert and key stakeholder in building optimized loyalty programs and driving customer retention. Manage communication plan, delivery of benefits, and identify gaps and opportunities.
Identify opportunities to leverage data to execute and optimize retention marketing strategies. Monitor and report on the performance of all campaigns and journeys across key metrics (open rate, clicks-to-open rate, conversion/net revenue/AOV, as well as Shop metrics such as conversion rate). Provide insights on a bi-weekly basis to help understand what is driving these results and how they inform our go-forward strategy

Requirements for Success

In-depth knowledge of the natural hair industry, hair extensions, and black hair space
Possess a deep understanding of creating and executing content for a premium/luxury audience in which the target customer is a black woman between the ages of 30-55
A strong pulse on who the key influencers (nano, micro, macro, and mega ) are in the natural hair and beauty space
Content-obsessed- You know how to create scroll-stopping content that adds significant value and drives engagement
At least 3 years of professional experience in brand or client services role in an email, CRM/database, retention/loyalty marketing, with a demonstrated knowledge in Email/SMS marketing. DTC Preferred.
Direct experience using Klayivo as an ESP
Expert-level copywriting skills in both Brand and Direct Response Marketing (You consider yourself to be a Subject Line Pro!)
Impeccable project management, organization, and overall communication skills with attention to detail
Must possess a true knack for creativity with a keen eye for aesthetics and a deep understanding of a brand’s visual identity.
Ability to work independently & collaboratively across multiple projects
Demonstrate a deep understanding of social media & consistently up to date with trends & culture
Experience working in a startup, agency, or high-growth environment is a plus
Photo, Graphics, GIF, and Video editing skills are a plus
Light Coding capabilities are a plus
