Pony.ai is seeking a US Finance Lead to lead our Finance function in the US. In this role, you will partner closely with different teams to implement and maintain efficient processes around monthly and quarterly close, regulatory filings and yearly audit. You will have exceptional partnership and communication skills, with a bias towards action and know-how to balance getting the details right while keeping pace with our fast-growing business.

Oversee all US accounting functions, including but not limited to: financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and various special analysis
Support month-end and quarter-end close activities and ensure that financial data is properly recorded, analyzed, interpreted, and understood
Maintain, review, and participate in developing and recommending improvements to accounting policies, processes, and procedures
Design, implement, and improve daily work and month-end processes and procedures to ensure accurate and complete information within established time frames
Ensure compliance with GAAP and statutory reporting requirements, lead the team through annual audit, and manage tax filings
Advise leadership team members on vendor and customer contract terms, revenue recognition policies, expense management, and other financial matters
Gather, consolidate, and analyze operating and financial results, analyze and explain trends and drivers for quarterly reports and monthly ad hoc analysis for business support

Requirements

BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with 8+ years of working experience or equivalent practical experience
Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and principles. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects with varying deadlines and levels of priorities
Technical accounting experience
Detail oriented with superior organization skills
Exceptional analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to build financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem-solving skills
CPA and Big 4 experience preferred
Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is preferred

Compensation and Benefits

Base Salary Range: $155,000 - $215,000 annually

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on many factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation and this role may be eligible for bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.
