Together we’ll dismantle barriers to housing for working families and use data to eliminate the racial wealth gap. The ability to build credit from rental payments has the potential to give over 45 million renters with little to no credit a pathway into the financial system. Those individuals then stand to save over $200,000 in reduced lifetime interest payments, build home equity by qualifying for mortgages, and build wealth by passing job screening requirements. The transformational impact of this cannot be understated.

The challenge

Esusu is a growing company of over 150 individuals based in the United States and abroad. As the company scales, we require a Director of IT Operations who can manage and refine an IT strategy to support efficient and scalable operations and adhere to our high compliance, security and privacy standards.

What you will help us deliver

Oversee all daily IT operations and own all internal software systems and processes
Design/refine and implement company-wide processes for IT management, including processes for on- and off-boarding new employees and vendors; selecting, implementing, and managing access to tools & applications; managing our hardware and software inventory; and troubleshooting technical issues.
Liaise with Esusu’s Information Security team to ensure our IT strategy and processes meet our high compliance, security and privacy standards. Contribute to the development and refinement of company-wide risk processes.
Serve as liaison for cross-functional teams, including Operations and Information Security, to ensure critical issues are prioritized in departmental roadmaps and that shared objectives are met.
Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic vendor and technology partners, including Esusu’s existing IT service management company.
Leverage expertise to make recommendations and decisions on company-wide initiatives that have implications for Esusu’s technology and that of our clients.
Develop/refine and implement disaster recovery and IT failure plans.
Support product development as needed by providing guidance on technical deployment.
Design and implement processes to monitor the health and performance of our IT systems.
Lead continuous process improvement efforts to drive efficiency and reduce expenses.

Basic Qualifications

10+ years’ experience in the information technology field, including supporting global teams
5+ years effectively managing vendor relationships and deliverables
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related fields
Experience making operational recommendations or return on investment analysis
Experience managing operational and technology transformation projects
Highly collaborative; ability to drive consensus across cross-functional teams
Ability to manage and relay complex data reporting to executives and stakeholders
Resourceful self starter with a natural ability to proactively solve problems
Prior and proven experience building and leading teams

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related fields
