Team Overview:

Our Workplace Operations team (currently comprising housekeeping and reception) is responsible for maintaining and supporting an enjoyable and productive office environment each day for our in-office team of 150+ employees.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a hyper-organized and energetic Office Manager to be responsible for overseeing general workplace services and support, managing a team of 3 employees. Our ideal candidate has a “roll-up-your-sleeves” mentality, and is excited to take on all tasks (big and small), often wearing many hats in assisting the needs of various departments across the company. Our Workplace Operations Manager will also sit on our Social Committee, assisting with the coordination and planning of employee events and engagement.

Responsibilities:

Oversee management of day to day facilities operations including Janitorial, HVAC, and general maintenance
Employee social event planning and coordination (e.g. employee happy hours, company outings, lunch and learns)
Organizing and overseeing the daily employee lunch service (sourcing caterers, assisting with set-up and clean-up) in addition to executive lunches and meetings in our in-office art gallery
Perform frequent walk-throughs of the office, making sure it’s well kept and stocked with necessary supplies
Liaise with the building management team, contractors, and vendors to assure daily operations run smoothly
Conduct guest registration and issue visitor passes with building security
Process all department financial records according to company policy
Negotiate with vendors, suppliers for cost efficient services and products
Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Requirements or Skill Sets:

3+ years experience working in administrative or office management role
Exceptional customer and hospitality service
Experience with or passion for event planning and employee engagement programs
Comfortable multitasking and balancing deadlines
Comfortable using technology and managing calendars
Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated, flexibility and willingness to perform duties outside of the role
Punctual and dependable personality

Must be able to work in our NYC office, not a remote role.

How does Masterworks think about compensation?

The compensation range for the role is $65-75k (inclusive only of base salary, and exclusive of other potential competitive benefits such as on-target commission, bonus payments, and equity). Our ranges are very broad to accommodate all types of candidates and encourage growth. Specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on factors such as education, experience, qualifications, and alignment with market data. Exceptional candidates may receive salaries outside of the posted ranges.
