About the Role

The Head of Finance will be an essential member of Moov’s executive leadership. We have been growing at a rapid clip (300%+ Revenue CAGR), while running close to break-even, and will look to accelerate this growth going forward. 2023 and beyond will be defined by an increasing international presence and scaling of our teams globally, an increasing investment into our product and technology offering, and the launching of new service models for our customers. The Head of Finance will help chart the course of this growth - finding the appropriate balance between risk and reward, advising the CEO and Board, and building the infrastructure for a Finance function that will turn it into a strategic weapon to unlock growth.

You will manage a growing and powerful team, and own all aspects of the finance function. This will include financial operations, financial strategy, the financial tech stack, treasury, investor relations, and the controller function. You will ensure core processes and reporting are in place and drive forward special projects across corporate development, international expansion, and monetizing new product offerings. This role will be based in either our Phoenix or Austin office and is eligible for relocation benefits.

You Will

Influence company strategy, set targets, engage in special situation deals (large and/or complex transactions)
Work directly with our CEO and executive team on forecasting
Develop and maintain a company budget and hold teams accountable, balancing both growth and profitability
Refine finance infrastructure to scale as the company grows - across people, technology, and processes
Own investor relations and board updates, and engage in fundraising activities should the need arise
Turn our monthly and quarterly financial results into business insights that impact our go-forward strategy
Manage Moov’s capital effectively, including engaging in treasury management and corporate development
Collaborate with each executive and team lead to support data-driven decisions on scaling their teams and functions

You have

Scaled and led a finance function at a high-growth technology company
Served as a functional leader and member of an executive team
Set and delivered on roadmaps for the finance function, across technology upgrades, team building, and process improvements
Have a deep knowledge of common accounting software, e.g. QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc., and have led integrations and migrations
A bias towards execution and speed
A strong team-orientation, with willingness to work with peers on a range of priorities
Familiarity with accounting principles and practices

Nice to haves

Online Marketplace and/or brokerage experience
Global experience (global operations setup, tax, payroll, and so on)
Experience with 3rd party accounting providers
Experience with federal and state tax codes and regulations
Public company experience - internally or as an external service provider
