About The Role

Our company is growing rapidly and we are looking for talented leaders to join our agile, world-class team.Responsible for the technology infrastructure and services of the company (i.e., institutional IT) to achieve business goals, minimize security risks, increase user satisfaction, and maintain operations and systems. Also responsible for enterprise software platforms, administration of such, and integration across functional teams. Leads the implementation of projects and initiatives and for developing new technical solutions that are responsive to the company’s objectives.

Coordinate and oversee staff’s day to day responsibilities
Day to day
Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive a) IT security, privacy and risk management programs including the establishment of policies, training, and other best practices and b) enterprise software solutions and plan software / platform solution strategy to optimize platform, ensure efficient use and integration.
Facilitates IT security audits or investigations.
Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
Developing security measures to protect computer networks from unauthorized access, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and antivirus software
Managing budgets and expenditures to ensure that projects are completed within time and budget constraints
Lead team who provides technical support to end users regarding the use of computer applications or hardware products
Support engineering systems including high performance computer cluster, HIL compute systems, data archival
Support compute resources for employees both remote and on-site. Asset ordering, provision, update, deprovision.

Must be able to support a mixed environment that includes but is not limited to, Windows/Mac/Linux, and vastly different user competencies
Identify and eliminate security vulnerabilities with strategic solutions that increase data security
Manage department’s finances, including budgeting and forecasting
Ability to obtain and maintain strong relationships with IT and SW vendors
Coordinates IT activities to ensure data availability and network services with as little downtime as necessary
Identify the need for upgrades, configurations, or new systems
Meet and collaborate with all levels of staff and other departments as necessary
Thoroughly understands best practices for managing user application permissions via LDAP/AD
Manages documentation and functional redundancy, as well as disaster planning
Fosters a cooperative, friendly working relationship between IT & ES personnel and all customers (i.e., business users, contractors, suppliers) to facilitate open communications resulting in a high level of cooperation
Able to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

About You

B.S. in information technology, information systems, computer science or a related field
At least 8 years of direct IT operations experience with at least 4 years of IT management experience
Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
Motivate teams, leader of multiple teams and employees, outline goals
Project management experience

Problem solver
Ability to function in an engineering-focused company, with engineering development-related services and the databases that support them (i.e., Atlassian, GitHub, Altium, Creo, Windchill etc.)
