What you get to do:

As a Event Sale and Services Intern, you will work on various special events, and serve as a critical team member within a passionate and hard-working marketing team. You will:

Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; pursuit of a college degree in marketing, communications, hospitality or related field preferred; junior/senior level preferred
Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to meet company driving guidelines
Must commit to work a minimum of three days a business week, in addition to weekend availability
Function as the on-site Busch Gardens and Adventure Island event coordinator and main point of contact for clients to ensure event deliverables exceed expectations
Previous experience in all MS Office applications, specifically, Excel, PowerPoint and Word, graphic design and Adobe Creative Suite a plus
Candidate should have knowledge of selling fundamentals, in addition to being an excellent communicator, capable of managing multiple projects and a self-starter
Must be goal orientated and have excellent phone communication, interpersonal communication, presentation and negotiating skills, a positive attitude and the ability to overcome objections
Ability to motivate customers about product and SEA company information
Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs. occasionally.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be available for nights and weekends
Must be able work a minimum of 28 hours
What it takes to succeed:
Research, secure and attend off-site grassroots promotions and events
Become familiar with the hotel routes and properties
Escort media outlets during live and taped broadcasts in the park
Support event services team with day of event execution
Needs to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet tight deadlines and be extremely detailed to work on contracts, itineraries, park-wide communication, etc.
Work closely on with marketing management with consumer events, Pass Member programs, and retail promotions
Shadow Event management in client and interdepartmental meetings
Compose Monthly Reports
Perform various other duties as assigned
Properly represent SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment and our commitment to excellence

Education and Experience:

Candidate must hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience in hospitality and/or tourism industry preferred

Compensation:

Pay Rate is $12.00 per hour
