The Director of Finance will be an integral part of the finance and accounting team, reporting to the VP, Head of Finance. This role will lead the planning, forecasting and analysis functions of the finance team. The Director of Finance will have a highly visible role across the organization while leading a small team.

Drive the overall financial planning process, including the Annual Plan, quarterly forecasts and Multi-Year projections
Build multi-scenario financial models and run analyses to inform strategic planning and growth efforts
Partner with business leaders to measure performance to Key Metrics
Be the leader and subject matter expert on the financial plan to address questions from leadership and the board of directors
Manage the standardization for reporting, creation of business performance dashboards, and deployment of new reporting tools and analytics as the company grows and explores the possibility of going public
Oversee all financial planning, analysis, statements, and budgeting; present financial and operational information to senior leaders
Manage all company-wide financial and strategic planning (budgets, forecasts, long-range planning, projections, etc.)
Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A processes including variance analysis
Partner with VP, Finance and key stakeholders on forecasting, and scenario planning
Partner with VP, Finance to drive key strategic and financial analyses to support high-impact decisions (e.g., unit economics, product expansion, headcount planning, etc.)
Prepare and deliver monthly financial business reviews to the leadership team and external stakeholders (Board, Investors, etc.)
Oversee external firms (accounting/tax/audit) and ensure accuracy and timeliness of the monthly accounting close process
Communicate and present our financial results to relevant audiences including company updates, investor updates, board updates and materials
Influence and drive end-to-end process streamlining and standardization based on industry leading best practices

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business/Management or other related field MBA/CFA preferred
8 or more years of experience as financial/business analyst or related capacity required
5 or more years of experience in a business management or program control management leadership capacity
Startup experience a strong plus
Must have high level interpersonal skills and be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
Self-directed and highly motivated, with the decisiveness and flexibility necessary to operate successfully in a changing, rapid-growth, and hands-on environment
Ability to prepare accurate reports and ability to effectively present information to senior management to include quantitative and qualitative analysis
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive materials and maintain the highest level of confidentiality
Ability to recognize and solve business problems by applying appropriate use of logic to quickly isolate the trends or problems
Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
Strong presentation skills are needed
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
